Our Company’s history dates back to the 1970s. Our father, the late Mr. M.P. Varghese owned large coconut groves. Seeing the plentiful stock of oil rich coconuts, a business idea then occurred to him to extract fresh coconut oil. Thus the “Periyar Oil Mills” was started, which is situated on the banks of Periyar river in Kalady, Kerala, the birth place of AdiShankaracharya. The Coconut oil is extracted in large scale with expeller and refining facility With the demise of Mr. M. P. Varghese, his son Mr. Joshy Varghese took over the management of the Company and re-named it as “New Periyar Oil Mills” in the year 2000 with a new vision. The Company has been supplying oil which is extracted from the finest coconuts to various companies including multinational companies from 1980s till date.
